OH THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL!

Alright! It is FINALLY snowing in DFW! I am writing this post while looking at my window at the WINTERY WONDERLAND! It isn't sticking yet, but fingers crossed!

Downtown Dallas and our "Wintery Mix"

Today's post is all about throws to keep you warm! Honestly, my favorite place for a nice throw in the house is just about ANYWHERE! My mom uses throws everywhere! She actually keeps on on each chair or couch and every bed. This way, you don't have to go from room to room when you have company and everyone stays warm!

Make sure to stick with your color scheme. If you are monocromatic, the idea isn't just to stick a red throw on to add color. That color must be somehow added to the room (think accessories or artwork- maybe even a pillow or two!)

I like how this throw in the picture adds a little color to the room! (See how most of their room is yellow with a touch of green and red? Very pretty!)

Pottery Barn Living Room

This is a great idea to add a POP of color without spending a fortune! The key is to make it look nice, do not just THROW them on a chair. You need to fold and put them down nice.

Also, stay in the same color scheme for each room. If you do reds, stick with them all having reds! They can be different patterns and textures, but try to remember that they need to look like they are there on purpose, not just "thrown" around. See how these throws gives a little extra texture to balance out the room?

Another cute way to spruce up your living room is by adding vintage QUILTS! These make amazing throws and lap blankets and you always have a story for the item! I love pieces that can tell a story!
